Danielle is a wife, mom, and author with a passion for writing and creating new adventures.

After studying journalism at Howard University, motherhood inspired her to dive into creative writing, resulting in 4 children's picture books and the first in a chapter book series. 

She also hosts an Instagram live series soon to be a podcast! 

In 2021, Danielle founded Books & Things Publishing, now home to 12 authors and a talented team dedicated to publishing diverse books for all ages.

Ricardo Yancey Jr.

Ricardo Yancey Jr is the author and illustrator of the children’s picture book My Best Friend GRANNY. Originally from North Carolina, where he graduated from the School of Communication Arts in Raleigh. Ricardo now resides in Phoenix, Arizona where he is a loving husband to his wife and father to 3 amazing little monsters.

Ricardo enjoys writing and illustrating his children’s books that focus on experiences and adventures from his childhood. Allowing the reader to escape into the magic of his storytelling and the imagination of his artwork.
